The TES

The TES is Britain’s leading publication covering the world of primary, secondary and further education, as well as the market leader for teaching job vacancies. Published every Friday, it is available from newsagents for £1.50 or on regular subscription from just £1 for 6 issues.

Teaching jobs are advertised by schools and colleges in the newspaper and posted on www.tes.co.uk. Display advertising is placed in all sections of the printed publication and website by a range of organisations wanting to reach decision makers in the teaching and education community.

The TES website, www.tes.co.uk is updated daily with new jobs, plus contributions from teachers sharing their home-grown teaching resources, swapping ideas, and letting off steam in the forums. And there’s a free job alerts service to help teachers find their ideal job. Used by thousands of schools and colleges, with over 700,000 registered users and over 1.3 million monthly visitors (March 2009), TES Connect is the central focus for the UK teaching community to share their ideas, thoughts and views outside the staffroom.

The TES has three different newspaper editions – TES, TES Cymru and TES Scotland – each of which feature news relevant to their region. With high-quality education news, analysis and debate, each covers everything the educational professional needs to stay informed, from Government initiatives to the latest research. School success stories, inspiring tales of real teachers and visits to the quirkier side of education add to make a stimulating and entertaining weekly read.

The weekly TES Magazine is free with all editions. The full colour glossy covers teachers’ personal and professional lives, plus the best reviews, resources and classroom ideas. Alongside hard-hitting features, there's practical advice for teachers in primary and secondary sections which showcase good practice and tips on how to teach. The magazine also looks at special needs, technology, health, money and travel. Contact us at newsdesk@tes.co.uk

Further education coverage is contained in the FE Focus section. FE Focus covers news, features and debate about the schools and college sector and lifelong learning.
